ginny + wes | married 09.29.12 in abingdon, va!

Ginny + Wes were married in Abingdon, Virginia on September 29, 2012! The sky threatened rain throughout the day, but cooperated and delivered a sunshine-filled ceremony and walk to the neighboring reception just after. Autumn had just arrived in Abingdon, kissing the trees with hints of red and orange. Ginny's grandmother graciously offered up her home - an incredible structure that functioned as a bank during the Civil War - for the reception. Guests nibbled on small bites throughout the evening, and many of them hit the dance floor for a party worthy of the very happy couple.  Wes even jumped on stage to reunite with his former band, charming his new bride in the crowd below.

Ginny + Wes...we have so enjoyed getting to know you these last few months! Congratulations on your new chapter and life in Charlottesville...we want to get together for whiskey at the C+O very soon!  xoxo, A+B.

Brian and I adore this couple; fellow foodies, Julie + Kevin made us feel as if we were part of their crowd the entire day.  They were married at Beth Ahabah in Richmond, Virginia on 4.28.2012, and celebrated at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts afterwards. The rain didn't hold us back; we were able to slip in and out of the VMFA for their first look and portraits between showers and with the aid of the blue and white museum umbrellas. The VMFA is one of their favorite places in Richmond, and we loved that we were able to photograph them in both its exterior and interior spaces. Julie and Kevin have a quiet, calm way together; a demeanor and affection that comes from sharing a life for many years. The museum was the perfect setting to capture the character of their relationship and wedding day.

Julie and Kevin, we have really enjoyed getting to know you these last ten months. We hope that, despite the distance between Charlottesville and New York City, you will keep in touch. We will share a meal with you two any time! xoxo.
