as promised, more details from the concept shoot on which I collaborated with soiree. and rock paper scissors! i have to say, i am really, very excited about these images. this team of people worked so hard to create a beautiful mock-event inspired by the tones and textures of mid-century modern design.

a mid-century wedding | sneak peek

I could not wait to share a few teaser images from this mid-century-themed session yesterday with soiree. and rock paper scissors. I had such fun styling this concept event with julianne and dani, and hope we can all collaborate again soon! Many, many thanks to floral images, festive fare, and the many friends who loaned furniture, accessories, and even their back yard.

Rock Paper Scissors, a Charlottesville staple, changed hands in March.  The new owners, Dani Antol and Heather McNulty, have poured heart and soul into the shop, creating a lovely space on The Downtown Mall that can occupy hours of your time on any given afternoon.  This weekend the ladies hosted a Rockin' Re-Opening to mark their 6-month-iversary with cupcakes and spontaneous rock paper scissors tournaments, store-wide discounts and free book binding workshops. With irresistible papers and wax-coated linen thread, local artist Lindsey Mears guided patrons through the process of creating a journal using the pamphlet stitch.
