ravioli | mona lisa pasta

I am currently working on a fun project with Matt Thomas for Mona Lisa Pasta in Charlottesville. For a few weeks I will be documenting back-of-house activities as the staff makes fresh pasta, pizzas, and sauce. Matt has rebranded the company (you can see his fabulous new logo and label designs on his site) and will be launching a new website for Mona Lisa in the coming months.

Here are a few shots from behind-the-scenes on ravioli day!

tommy + kristin | a baby party

Tommy + Kristin are having a baby girl! I helped them to plan a party a couple of Saturdays ago...actually, you might want to call it a fiesta. There were carnitas and black beans and dulce de leche cupcakes, along with some very festive balloons. Here are a few details from their fun day...

The party decor was inspired by these invitations that T+K picked out at Rock Paper Scissors, which I embellished...

If you're interested in the recipe for those dulce de leche cupcakes, you can find it on Bella Eats. I promise, you really, really want to try them.

a mid-century wedding | sneak peek

I could not wait to share a few teaser images from this mid-century-themed session yesterday with soiree. and rock paper scissors. I had such fun styling this concept event with julianne and dani, and hope we can all collaborate again soon! Many, many thanks to floral images, festive fare, and the many friends who loaned furniture, accessories, and even their back yard.

I will have many more images to share next week. Happy weekend, all!

living space | amy's house

this is the second installment of my living space series, in which I spend a few hours in a home capturing the details of the lives lived within its walls. this one belongs to my friend amy, a small business owner, wanna-be-interior designer (her words, not mine...I think she's a pro!), and mommy to ben. I adore amy's taste, and her unwavering kindness in letting me borrow some of her fabulous pieces for my own staged shoots. if you're in charlottesville, no doubt you're familiar with SCARPA, her other baby. and my very favorite boutique.

also, if you're not from cville, or know somebody coming to visit, this beautiful home is available to rent through stay charlottesville!

if you have or know of a living space that would photograph well for this series, please contact me here.
